Antarria's coffee tables are split into three finishes: marble and painted (from AED 7,880), brushed stainless steel (AED 4,990) and microcement (from AED 5,390, indoor or outdoor). The finish decides more about how the table lives day to day than the shape does. Understanding which finish suits which room stops the decision from coming down to price alone.

What Each Finish Actually Suits
- Marble and painted: Alba and Moro is sold as a two-piece set, a marble-topped table paired with a coordinating painted table. Suits a layered living room look where the coffee table area does double duty as display space.
- Stainless steel: Avery's brushed finish and low, organic silhouette work as a single strong focal point rather than a supporting piece. Reads more contemporary than either of the other two finishes.
- Microcement: Pebble is the only finish in this range rated for outdoor use as well as indoor, at a AED 800 premium for the outdoor version. Worth choosing this finish specifically if the table needs to move between a covered terrace and an indoor room.
Getting The Height And Placement Right
As a general rule, a coffee table works best when its top sits within 2 to 5cm of the sofa's seat cushion height, close enough to rest a drink on without reaching up or down. Most standard sofa seat heights land around 40 to 45cm, which is also where most coffee tables in this range sit.
Leave 35 to 45cm of clearance between the table edge and the sofa front so there's room to walk past and to stretch your legs out without kicking the table.
In a smaller living room, that clearance is the first thing worth protecting, a table pushed too close to the sofa makes the whole seating area feel tighter than it is, regardless of how good the table itself looks.
Caring For Each Finish Properly
Marble needs the most attention of the three. It's porous, so it stains from liquids left sitting, particularly anything acidic like citrus or wine, and it should be wiped up immediately rather than left to dry.
A coaster habit matters more here than on the other two finishes. Stainless steel is the lowest-maintenance of the three day to day, a soft dry cloth keeps Avery's brushed finish free of fingerprints and light dust, though abrasive pads will scratch the brushed texture, so stick to soft cloths only.
Microcement sits in between: wipe Pebble down with a soft, damp cloth or sponge regularly, dab spills immediately, and avoid placing hot items directly on the surface without a coaster, the same routine used across Antarria's other microcement pieces.

FAQs
1. What is microcement and is it durable?
A smooth, stone-like cement finish that's handcrafted rather than poured as a slab. Antarria rates its Pebble microcement table for outdoor use as well as indoor, which is a reasonable proxy for durability against everyday knocks and UAE heat.
2. Is a marble coffee table hard to maintain?
Marble is more prone to staining than steel or microcement, so it suits a lower-traffic living room better than a household with young children or frequent spills. Antarria's Alba and Moro pairs the marble top with a second painted table, so day-to-day use can sit on the painted piece instead.
3. Which finish works outdoors?
Only the Pebble Microcement table is sold in an outdoor-rated version, at AED 6,190 against AED 5,390 for the indoor version. Marble and stainless steel are indoor pieces.
4. Does the finish affect how a coffee table styles with the rest of the room?
Yes, more than color alone. A marble top like Alba and Moro reads formal and works with warmer, traditional palettes, brushed stainless steel like Avery suits a cooler, contemporary scheme, and microcement's matte texture on Pebble sits comfortably between the two, which is why it works indoors and outdoors without looking out of place in either setting.
