Why the Viewer View and the Sitter View Produce Opposite Results

Stand in front of your sofa and face it. Your right hand points to the RAF side. Your left hand points to the LAF side.

Step 4: Check which side of the room has the most open space in front of you. This is the side where people walk when they enter or cross through.

Step 5: Your chaise belongs on the other side. Away from foot traffic, toward the corner or wall that sees less movement.

Now check which side that quiet corner sits on as you face the TV. If it is to your right, order RAF. If it is to your left, order LAF.

This works because the chaise is a low, extended piece. In a walkway, it becomes a barrier that people step around every time. In a quiet corner, it becomes the best seat in the room.

1. Entry Door Position

Where you walk in from determines where traffic naturally flows. Dubai apartments in JVC, Dubai Marina, and Business Bay often have the living room entry on a fixed side. The door stays fixed. You build around it.
